Ein Design, zwei Tische
Schlicht im Design, beständig im Gebrauch – wetterfeste Tische aus Bankirai.
Diese Outdoortische wurden entworfen, um eine bestehende Balkon-Lounge zu vervollständigen, welcher ein zentrales Element fehlte: ein Platz für die Kaffeetasse, ein Buch oder einfach als visueller Anker. Ziel war es, etwas zu schaffen, das sich funktional und harmonisch in das Ensemble einfügen.
Entstanden sind zwei Tische aus Bankirai, auch bekannt als Yellow Balau – ein dichtes, widerstandsfähiges Hartholz, das sich durch natürliche Resistenz gegenüber Feuchtigkeit und Abnutzung auszeichnet. Das Holz verleiht der klaren Formgebung Wärme und Substanz – robust, langlebig und mit feiner Struktur.
Das Design ist zurückhaltend, aber präzise: klare Linien, ausgewogene Proportionen und dezente Details, die Präsenz zeigen, ohne sich aufzudrängen. Der größere Tisch bildet den ruhigen Mittelpunkt, während die kleinere Variante mit einer durchlässigen, lamellenartigen Oberfläche und zusätzlicher Ablage punktet – ideal für kompakte Räume, durchdacht bis ins Detail.
Gemeinsam bilden sie ein stimmiges Duo: pflegeleicht, wetterfest und gebaut mit Blick auf Beständigkeit. Sie geben dem Außenraum Struktur – klar, funktional und einladend für Momente der Ruhe und Einfachheit.
These outdoor tables were designed to complete an existing lounge setting — a space that needed a central element: somewhere to place a coffee cup, a book, or simply provide a visual anchor. The goal was to create pieces that would complement the surrounding furniture, both in purpose and in presence.The result: two tables crafted from Bankirai, also known as Yellow Balau — a dense, durable hardwood ideal for outdoor use, naturally resistant to moisture and wear. Chosen for its strength and subtle texture, the wood lends both warmth and resilience to the design.
The aesthetic is understated yet deliberate. Clean lines, balanced proportions, and quiet detailing allow the tables to blend in without disappearing — a clear functional presence, without visual weight. The larger table serves as the calm centerpiece of the setting, while the smaller version offers a more compact solution, featuring a slatted top and shelf for added utility and drainage — making the most of limited space without compromise.
Together, the two form a cohesive pair: low-maintenance, weather-resistant, and thoughtfully built to endure. Anchoring the space with calm clarity, they invite pause, ease, and moments that linger.
